Punters Inside Run form analysts Mick Sharkie and James Lamb are both keen on the chances of a Mike Moroney mare at Sandown Hillside on Saturday.
Race six – a Benchmark 78 over 1400m – sees a rematch between Moroney’s So You See and Life Lessons after the latter prevailed by a length at the Lakeside course last month.
So You See was first-up from a 207-day break, while Life Lessons was having her second start for the preparation.
Sharkie believes the Moroney galloper is open to sharp improvement with a run under her belt.
“She’s a pretty talented mare and she got tried in Group 1 company in her three-year-old season.
“She’s had a throat operation, so there was clearly a bit of a wind issue there, but she’s come back and run really well first-up – probably just lacked fitness.
“Taking on Life Lessons again, who beat her last start, but I think she can turn the tables.
“She gave Life Lessons more weight on that occasion but gets much closer in the handicap on Saturday,” Sharkie said.
Lamb agreed that the weight swing should be enough to square the ledger between the two talented mares.
“So You See meets Life Lessons 2.5kg better at the weights this time, which should be enough.”
So You See, to be ridden by Jamie Mott, heads betting from Life Lessons and the Mitchell Freedman-trained Belle Et Riche.
