A 21-year-old man accused of murdering a young mother, whose body was found in a Perth harbour, allegedly killed her at a property days earlier, a court has been told.
Muhammad Abdur Rehman Mirza has been charged with murdering Helen Jeremy Solomon Marsuk, 25, on December 1 in Gosnells in Western Australia.
Her body was found in the water at Success Boat Harbour on Capo D’Orlando Dr in South Fremantle on December 4.
Mr Mirza has also been charged with wilfully destroying evidence – including clothes, a knife and a mobile phone – and interfering with the woman’s corpse.
He faced Armadale Magistrates Court on Friday and was remanded in custody to appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court in January.
Police previously revealed Ms Marsuk, from Koongamia, was last seen wearing a pink dress and a carrying a pink handbag around Oats St in Carlisle on November 30.
It is understood several small items were pulled from the water as police divers scoured the scene earlier this week.
